Message on a T-shirt

This activity came to my mind after seeing how much English is being used nowadays on clothes. Children's clothes are the most prolific at showing funny or positive messages. They are almost always colorful and in fashion.

The idea behind these messages was to create awarence about the messages their clothes were sending. I've selected quite a few and presented them to the class. Students identified their own T-shirts and tried to guess the meaning of others.

 

The next step was letting them create their own T-shirts inspired by the ones already seen, or adding new messages.

 Finally, we've used this site:www.spreadshirt.com where students could personalise their own T-shirts by selecting the type, colour, text, image etc.
