"Summer ends, and Autumn comes, and he who would have it otherwise would have high tide always and a full moon every night."
First day of class is always full of emotions, expectations and challenges: adapting to the new rhythm, meeting new people, opening up to them, exchanging experiences and then building up little spaces full of new projects and ideas, all supported and coordinated by a great team of teachers who are ready to share their best knowledge. This was the spirit of Albany these first days and probably everyone around was able to feel it: students, parents and teachers.
One important step these days is getting to know each other. And although the groups are not too big, it can sometimes take a little more time to remember each student's name. I can guarantee that once a teacher knows all the students' names and uses them correctly ( everyone has confused some Juan Antonio with some Juan Manuel, let's be honest) a sense of confidence and comfort will settle in the class. So here's an idea for very young learners: a name badge you create especially for them. They will feel proud and the teacher will feel confident as well!
I hope everyone had a wonderful return and I'm glad of opening this virtual space to more exciting activities that can make English really fun!
